 Wild Blueberry Wine RecipeIngredients: - About 16 cups of wild blueberries (rinsed with cold water)
- 1/4 teaspoon wine yeast
- 1 gallon boiling water
- 8 cups sugar

Direction: - Crush the fruit using your hands or a potato masher.
- Place the crushed fruit in a large food bucket.
- Pour the boiling water over the crushed fruit and stir using a long nonreactive spoon.
- Strain the liquid using a cheesecloth while it is still hot.
- Place the liquid into a large nonreactive pot.
- Reheat the liquid and allow it to simmer for two minutes; then remove from the heat right away.
- Place the liquid back to the bucket then add the sugar.
- Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Sprinkle the yeast on top when the mixture has cooled to lukewarm.
- Cover with a loose-fitting lid or a nylon stocking and allow to ferment for fourteen days.
- Strain the liquid into a clean glass container and cover appropriately.
- In six to twelve months the wine will be ready for bottling.
